World Cup season is upon us, where DID those last four years go? This is big, it’s an excuse to spend summer nights in beer gardens with work colleagues, a fully ‘justified’ school night out. You can't concentrate on anything apart from which screen you are going to watch the next match on and what deliciously refreshing beer you with have clasped in your palm.
No one wants to nose dive as hard as Argentina, so although the World Cup is a gift from television heaven (or so I have been told). How do you stay on top of daily life and your career? More importantly how do you not to anger your partner by widowing them to the World Cup, sitting night after night shouting 'REFFFFF' at the television?
This is how ladies and gents... Thank me later when you are nailing the work life balance and in the good books.
🚀 1. START YOUR DAY EARLY
As you will know, the key to success is starting the day early with a clear mind. The mornings are lighter, the sun is shining. Get up early and start your day with some exercise, before heading into the office early. Think of it this way, the earlier you get in, the earlier you can leave to make those 4pm matches with a prime seat position!
🚀 2. SCHEDULE MEETINGS TO ENTERTAIN CLIENTS (FOR 1PM)
It’s as simple as that. Looking to catch up and entertain a client? Do it over lunch and near a big screen.
We would recommend hiring a private room at a bar or restaurant and hiring a screen into the room. (Alternatively we have some more laid back options below).
Top 5 Places to watch the match in London - Burgers, Beers and Banter (of the football variety).
* Disclaimer - Fine dining and football is difficult to come by unless you book a private venue/ room.
